Find yourself in conversation with anyone from the online hypnosis community, and if the conversation lasts long enough, inevitably Warp My Mind will come up. Its like the standard, as if everyone knows the hypnosis site, WMM as it is frequently referred. I have even encountered mention of WMM in unexpected places far and away from the hypnosis community many of us call home. Few would argue that WMM is a site that has made its mark on the online hypnosis community and has done so as far back as most can remember.

While I count myself amongst those who know of WMM and have dropped by now and then over the years, I found there was so little that I actually knew about the site. The time had come for me to do a little exploratory journalism with the goal of finding what it is, what is that special thing that makes WMM unique, what has cause this site to be the mainstay of the adult hypnosis community?

The entry page for Warp My Mind is an adults only disclaimer. I should note that the material contained beyond the front page is indeed for adults only and should be treated that way. Ok enough said on that, now its time to do some exploring.

I find myself at the main page of WMM and right there in the top box of text, right under Welcome to Warp My Mind, a mission statement, this may not be that difficult after all. The mission statement reads:

"This site is dedicated to supplying you with free hypnosis MP3’s"

Well if you are reading this, it’s likely you have an interest in hypnosis and lets face it, who doesn’t like free? I could jump right to the chase and talk about the files section, and I will but there are a lot of extras here beyond the hypnosis files, the site does indeed have more than one dimension which is important. Let’s see what else they have to offer.

Warp My Mind is run by EMG, and while it’s evident as one pokes around the site that EMG’s mark is everywhere, he seems to take on the role of host rather than making himself the focus, which for a community site is as it should be.

The first link I click on is titled Hypno-Files.com which as it turns out is whole different site with a similar design to WMM. Only this site appears to contain more of the main stream variety of hypnosis. I didn’t spend much time there because my goal is learn as much as I can about WMM. However it does look interesting and you may consider it your extra credit assignment to go check it out.

The site contains common features, an active forum and a well stocked links section, which seems to include every hypnosis site I’ve ever heard of and then some. Two features of the site drew my attention, a journal section where members write their own blogs and a chat room.

Now chat rooms are not all that unique, although for an individual site to have one it can be a challenge to keep it active. Naturally I had to check that out thinking this will really be telling just how active a community we have here at WMM. There were a handful of people in the room when I arrived and I was greeted less than a minute of checking in, ok I thought off to a good start.

Unfortunately for the person who greeted me, little did the individual know that she/he (I didn’t ask) would soon be put to work. I explained I was there researching an article I was working on for Hypnosis Addiction eZine about WMM. I am not sure if I was believed at first but managed to sell myself as being legit.

We stepped into private chat so that I could ask a few questions about the chat room and the site in general. The person was a chat room regular and made me feel welcome and not like the newbie that I was. Some nights are slow others beaming with activity I was told and a fun place to hang out and meet others with an interest in hypnosis. I asked what the person considered to be the best feature of WMM, the answer, well of course the files. Ok I’ve tip toed around the subject long enough, it’s time to talk about the files.

The files, yes indeed there are a bunch of them at Warp My Mind. EMG has employed a rather helpful browsing tool. You may filter by category such as induction, behavior, or transformation. And further filter by type which includes selections such as triggers, subliminals, and curses, I’ll have to remember to check that one out a little more. Of course you can also select “All” for both category and type to get a full site listing of all the files available, did I say it’s a long list?

Browsing over the list of files, I notice there are three designations. There are some here that are for sale at a nominal price. The rest and bulk of those available are either are just flat out free or have a “member” designation. My chat room friend was able to explain to me just how the memberships work. And actually let me clarify, anyone can join the site and become a member for free. Then there is a Premium Membership which goes for the low low price of $6.95 a month. The price goes down over a sliding scale with a three or twelve month membership. Obviously at those prices EMG is just trying to cover expenses.

All new files added to the site are designated “member” for the first four months. Premium members are able to download any of these files during that initial four month period. After which the files become free to the general site membership. Premium members also pick up some additional goodies, such as premium voting rights, all the files on the site are rated, and the ability to create playlists. Seems like a reasonable price to pay to get the files when you want them while adding support to WMM.

So where do the files come from? Well, EMG has done most of them and the rest, they come from everyone. Anyone can upload an MP3 of their own creation. It’s file sharing done the right and legal way. There are files here in both male and female voices, many names I’ve never heard of as well as some that will be easily recognized in the erotic hypnosis community.

My overall impression about Warp My Mind, its all about exploring hypnosis and meeting up with those who have a similar interest. The files on the site cover many different topics and approaches, some that I never even thought of before. Its all done in a very open and if you want to call it that, an educational manner. For someone seeking to explore hypnosis WMM belongs on your bookmark list. It’s a mainstay and an important contributor to the online hypnosis community.

For now I think I’ll go browsing over a five hundred or so hypnosis MP3’s, I’m certain I’ll find something interesting.

Having tried some of the files in the past, it was found that the narrators voice was so bland and monotonous, it was quite off putting. So I suggest that any true hypnotic femme domme would make a far better job of actually manifesting the feminizations listed, with the use of their beguiling tones.
