To many, a fascination with hypnosis and mind control has its roots watching an old movie or other visual scene. A sensual woman is using her powers of mind control for devious means upon a helpless subject. As she locks eyes on her prey, the victim is powerless to look away as his will to resist is drained away. She has him exactly where she wants him.

To some individuals, watching this scene creates an unusual and unexpected excitement. Suddenly we want the scene to go on forever. As it proceeds and the powerful hypnotist draws the subject into a deeper and deeper trance, for the viewer the excitement grows, and his pulse rate quickens. Just at that moment when one more word will forever turn the victim into a mindless obedient zombie, someone jumps in the scene to prevent the final takeover, leaving the viewer with a feeling of frustration.

It is all in the writing rules for Hollywood scripts: "Thou shall not allow the main character in a movie to become completely brainwashed by an evil mind controller.” You can come close and tease about going all the way, but never take it to its ultimate climax. There is, however, a solution for those of us with more than a passing interest in hypnosis and brainwashing: enter mind control erotica.

I first discovered RC not long after I discovered the Internet itself. Along with the many of the wonders on the Internet came the phenomenon of "I thought I was the only one.” I too had that epiphany. In the time period, the mid to late 90's, the web still had a raw edge to it; there were no standards, and seemingly surprises at every turn.

At one of those turns I came upon the site featuring the writings of RCWrites and Look Deeply. It was one of the first sites to make my "bookmarks" list and among a handful of sites that I visited almost daily excited at the prospect of finding something new. It was my first introduction to hypnosis stories with an erotic slant and my first Internet related guilty pleasure.

Many authors allow the reader to fill in blanks within their stories, it’s an effective way to contribute the reader's own imagination to the story. He does this superbly in his story “Hypnotized,” "The story that started it all". The male subject in the story is allowed to watch as his girlfriend applies her hypnotic talents on another woman to sexual delights. Soon he finds himself asked to watch her crystal. With seeds planted having witnessed the first induction, at key moments he finds himself opening his eyes leaving both himself and the reader to imagine what may have just happened.

I should mention while I am on the topic of the story “Hypnotized,” the initial induction itself is one that I most erotic. Having recently read it again after several years, I'm left to ponder how many inductions were inspired by those ten or twelve paragraphs.

In one of RC's more recent stories written earlier this year, “Because,” he tells a story of pushing beyond the boundaries. After years of hypnotic conditioning, (comma) the subject finds his limits being tested. Can he actually be taken that far? Did it happen or was it simply the power of suggestion? Again the reader and the subject's own imagination are called upon; all the pieces are there, do they all fit into place?

Good mind control fiction, when it is done by the best, it’s as if the author is applying hypnosis on the reader. Following along, it becomes easy for one to find themselves falling into the story. The story becomes real with textures that flavor the senses. RC is one such author with that special gift, the imagination with the skills and the willingness to share them.

It is near impossible to know for certain who was the Internet's first author of hypno-fetish fiction was, however there is no question that RC was a leader in the first wave. One can only conclude that he has inspired dozens of others to follow in his foot steps and continues to set a standard for others. On his site, rcwrites.com, he posts a page titled "Reflections on a Decade," which chronicles his first years of writing hypno-fetish stories. For some it may be a walk down memory lane, for other a lesson is history.

In addition to the long list of stories on his site, I find that "Reflections on a Decade" a most interesting read. Not only does it bring back some memories for me, but in its text RC tells of real people with a flavor of real emotion. It brought to light, there are real people out there behind the handles, and it is possible to develop bonds with others, sometimes half a world away that may last ten years, or longer, maybe a lifetime.

To be an author of good fiction or any writing for that matter requires a gift, and a willingness to share that gift with others. In particular on the Internet, great authors such as RC often do not receive the recognition and feedback they do so much deserve. Which tells me there must be a love there to do the things they do.

Although it has only been a few months since I've been able to converse with RC, though his stories I feel as though I've known him for years. He strikes me as someone who truly is just a regular honest guy, which makes sense as I read his stories, I feel a connection in terms of common interests. Yet in some ways I think of RC as an icon in this small community of erotic hypnosis.

I was thrilled and honored when he agreed to be featured in this issue of Hypnosis Addiction. If by some chance you have never had the opportunity to read RC's work, do yourself a favor next time you have a couple of hours free. And if you discover something you really like, which chances are you will, drop RC a line and let him know. For many of us, there was that moment when we came across other hypno-fetishists through the power of the Internet and realized that we were NOT alone. Depending on when you made that revelation, different things may have been your introduction. It might have been someone's page with a spiral on it. It might have been a photo or photo manip involving hypnosis, or even a video.

For me, that magical moment came through the use of a very primitive search engine, years before anything like Google came along, and there on my screen were links to some stories by someone named RC. Just like animals that imprint on the first things they see, in seconds, i was deeply into my first RC story and was already addicted to his style of erotica that combines femdom tales with some very imaginative scenarios that seem quite plausible because of his amazing writing style.

This terrific author continues to produce stories that enthrall me, and i cannot recommend his website highly enough if you want truly hot and arousing hypno-erotica!
