Erotic Hypnosis
Bob & Nikki Innerview Print E-mail

One the fun things about my job as editor of this ezine is getting to work and interact with some facinating people. Two who have learned how to put fun into hypnosis are Bob Brown and Nikki Fatale, the principles of HypnoFantasy. What follows is this issue's interview of Bob and Nikki. You may do well to pay close attention as some answers can be rewarding. Enjoy!

Hypnosis Addiction Magazine: If I understand correctly the two of you have never met in person. Yet you both seem to work so well together and I see some chemistry there, in a friendship sense, the way you both interact with the members of your group and with each other. How did you meet? I have a feeling there might be an interesting story there.

Bob: First off Stage, thank you for including www.hypnofantasy.com as a feature in www.hypnosisaddiction.com .  It is exciting what you are building here and we are thrilled to be a part of it.

In respect to your question, you are correct; Nikki and I have never met.  We actually live a five hour flight away in two different countries.  So our relationship is pretty much centered around good ole Yahoo email, which can be pretty chaotic as we can have more messages going back and forth than two people on Instant Messenger..

Nikki found www.hypnofantasy.com and approached me about letting her record some sessions for her boy.  I think she was impressed that I just sent her the sessions and said good luck.  Anyways she did a sample for me (which I still have) and I was blown away. I could tell from the first sentence I heard that she definitely had hypnotic talent.  She even mailed in the $20 to become a member (I might be mistaken but I am pretty sure she is the first woman to pay to join).  It’s hanging on my wall underneath her picture.  I wish she would have signed it!  Yes, there is a friendship there.  I think for companies to be successful you have to like your partners.  She makes that part easy and she assures me that DORK, a name she often calls me, is an American term used for endearment.  So I know she likes me too!  I think why we seem to click is because we stay close to our interests and respect each other for theirs.  We both agree that offering a site that is safe, sane and friendly is of the utmost importance.

Nikki: That is pretty much the story although I think at that point Bob would have been happy to have a female chipmunk join him.  It was obvious from the posts that a female voice was in dire need.  Who knows how many slaveboys Bob would have now had I not showed up when I did?  Yes, I sent the $20 in even knowing that I could have used my hypnotic allure to get anything I wanted from Daffy Bob including making him mine forever – THAT was a burden I wasn’t willing to carry!

HM: I think the approach that you take with Hypnofantasy as well as your other web sites, each with its own sub theme is somewhat unique in this genre. It really is all about allowing someone to have a fun and pleasurable experience isn’t it? Whether it be to enjoy enhanced sexual pleasure or fulfill an individual fantasies through hypnosis. Please tell me a little bit about how things began for HypnoFantasy.

Bob: Hypnofantasy began because I had a dream to enhance pleasure in bedrooms around the world.  My wife and I have played with erotic hypnosis for years and it has made things very exciting.  I started to think about what if we shared this secret with others.  While I see more and more couples getting involved we are a long way from making erotic hypnosis for couples as a mainstream activity.

With regards to your sub theme question, with over 130 sessions we needed to make it easy for people to find their area of interest.  With the different sub sites you can quickly and easily go to your interests.  If you want FemDom you go to www.nikkifatale.com... if you want subliminals you go to www.hypnomindmelder.com … and if you want to simply try us out you can go to www.hypnofantasy.com where every session is free to listen to.

HM: The term “safe and sane” hypnosis comes up frequently. Nikki has even mentioned in at least one of her recordings that it’s good practice to listen to a recording in its entirety before attempting to trance with it, just to make sure there is nothing in there that is going to make a subject uncomfortable. What exactly do you mean by “safe and sane” hypnosis?

Nikki:  Did I really mention that stage?  Note to self: edit out silly statement.  In lifestyle BDSM, the term Safe Sane and Consensual is used to promote the ethics and responsibility of SM play.   I brought this with me into my Erotic Hypnosis endeavors as I felt it was/is necessary.  The other day a member mentioned in chat something along the lines that “we are in a fetish where the freaks think we are freaks”.  That statement rang true for me.   I came into Erotic FemDom Hypnosis from a real life D/s relationship.  Up until very recently even mentioning using Hypnosis in a BDSM relationship was considered taboo.  Some people consider it “cheating” and in no way “consensual”.  A lot of people don’t understand the whole concept of hypnosis and they go straight to the “mind control” thinking.  I feel that a lot of people are using versions of hypnosis without even realizing it during their BDSM “scenes”.When a submissive finds themselves in “subspace” it is much like the trance state many of my subjects find themselves in.  I love to get emails from people who are in real life D/s relationships telling me that they are using my sessions to enhance their “play”.

I have always said that one person’s edge is another’s vanilla. There are plenty of sites out there offering more extreme sessions than us; safe and sane means we choose carefully what types of sessions we do in order to ensure they are in everyone’s best interest.  We have turned down many requests because they are just a little too far out for us. Erotic Hypnosis is wonderfully exciting, but like everything in life you need to use it in moderation and be very aware of where your limits are.  After all you are opening up your mind to strangers.

HM: My own personal belief system includes a strong feeling towards gender equality. This is a genre that tends to have many more men as subject/listeners than women. What might you say that might encourage women to give some of your products a try and explore the fun side of hypnosis? Have you received some positive feedback from women who have experienced the HypnoFantasy style of hypnosis?

Bob: About 25% of our audience is female.  We have received great feedback and many are repeat visitors.  It’s unfortunate but I find women have a harder time expressing their excitement in public forums so they tend to keep to themselves or send a personal note to Nikki or I.

Nikki:  I have a few women “fans”.  I love to hear from them and I wish I had more time to create more dual gender and for women only sessions.  I have a few on my list of upcoming sessions.  I like the thought of women listening to my sessions.    I also love listening to sessions created by other women, I find them very arousing and entertaining.

HM: What do you find the most fascinating about hypnosis?

Bob: The most fascinating has to be the power that hypnosis can possess over a person.  Hypnosis helps people overcome fears and anxieties, hypnosis jumpstarts your imagination and hypnosis can help a person take an imagined experience and make it a reality.  It really is all about letting your imagination go into overdrive and live the moment in vivid sound and colour.

Nikki: Not just as it relates to hypnosis but the power and potential of the subconscious mind is fascinating to me. For someone willing to take the time to explore, learn and practice the opportunities are endless.  There are a people in our group who are into VERY high levels of meditation and trance. It can be beneficial not only for fantasy but for all aspects of our lives.

HM: I think it’s natural to enjoy receiving feedback on one’s work. Knowing the work that you both have produced, I’m sure there are many positive responses. What does it feel like when someone tells you that your hypnosis has really clicked for them? Do you draw some energy from that positive feedback?

Bob: We absolutely love feedback both positive and negative because it helps us improve our community.  Hypnofantasy was built around the premise of giving people a safe place to explore the hypno erotic fetish.  Knowing that people are, and they are enjoying it, is a very cool thing to hear.  We are always encouraging our members to share their experience because we know others are going to learn from them and that’s what this is all about.

Nikki: Since Bob seems to enjoy it please send all the negative feedback to him.  I love the energy that transpires in our group when a new session comes out.  People seem genuinely appreciative of the work we put out there for them.

HM: What advice would you give someone who feels they are having some difficulty going into hypnotic trance?

Bob: This is the number one question we get asked.  First off, you need to keep in mind that almost everybody can experience a level of hypnotic trance good enough for behaviour change (i.e. losing inhibition, increasing desire or submissive tendencies).  Where it becomes more challenging is in achieving a deep dream like state where all your thoughts become lifelike.  A few things to keep in mind are that we all experience the world differently, so our reaction to hypnosis is different.  Some people can easily imagine pictures, while others like sounds or feelings so don’t try to make your experience the same as someone else’s.  Even if you think it’s not working, pretend that it is. This is a great way to trick your mind into hypnosis.   When the hypnotist talks about sounds, or images, simply imagine them in your mind.  Often times just imagining is as powerful as actually experiencing.

Nikki:  I think people get caught up in the final goal sometimes and they aren’t patient enough to go through the process to get there.  Then when they read about the “advanced states” that bob discussed they get discouraged and give up.  I would suggest that people explore a book on hypnosis or find information on the www.  Once you understand how hypnosis works you should find it easier to participate with success.  Isabella Valentine wrote a wonderful article that I think is very helpful; it can be found at Inraptured.com.  I love what she has to say in relation to FemDom hypnosis in her article.

HM: Where do you draw your inspiration for your recorded hypnosis sessions?

Bob: Many times my inspiration comes from our members because they tell us what they like and want.  The key to success is it has to be of interest to us too.  It’s easy to just record but that isn’t exciting to the listener or to us.  We put a lot of passion into our work, so we want to make sure that the passion shows right through to the end product.

Nikki: I would agree that ideas come from our members but I would have to say that my true inspiration comes from one source: My sexy obedient slaveboy.

HM: In addition to the two of you, some other well known and talented individuals have become an active part of your community; Shiri the Hypno-witch, Kayar Silkenvoice, and RC of RCWrites, as well as several members of your group who seem to enthusiastically participate. What is it about your approach and the way you interact with people do you think that caused HypnoFantasy to become the place to be?

Bob: Having people like Shiri, Silken and RC (www.rcwrites.com). and a big host of others, is testimony that the more you give, the more you get back.   For our part, our goal is to be a community first and a website second.  By that we mean our number one focus is growing and developing the erotic hypnosis fetish.  Sometimes members are blown away by the time we spend with them to make them feel welcomed and comfortable.  We also offer many free sessions and we keep our prices extremely low so that more people can experience our sessions.

Nikki: We are very fortunate to have participation from those three very talented people.  In my opinion RC and Shiri are two of the most educated minds on the WWW in relation to Erotic Hypnosis, or hypnosis in general.  I thought my attention to detail overly obsessive until I met RC; he shoots for absolute perfection every time and it shows in the end results.  For those who aren’t familiar with his stories you are missing out on some very hypnotically erotic works of art.

HM: Nikki, you have one of the most relaxing voices I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to, I think someone would have an enjoyable experience even if the person were listening to you read the phone book. Have you had any training or is your wonderful voice simply a natural gift?

Nikki: That is very sweet to say stage, thank you.  I don’t want to blow anyone’s fantasy but I can not carry a tune worth listening to; I have had no voice training. To be quite frank the content of my sessions arouses me and what you are hearing in my voice is my arousal.  Could it be you just have an aural fetish for aroused women, stage?

HM: Uh, well, hmm, oh sorry got distracted there, I think you have exposed one of my weaknesses Nikki.

Ok now that I've regained my focus, a few more questions. The recorded sessions on your websites are amongst the highest production quality available in this genre. Who is responsible for bringing everything together for the final product? Do you use any special equipment?

Bob: We get people telling us often that our sessions are the best.  There is not really a standard answer because we both try to use different approaches and new entrancement technologies whenever we get a chance.   I think what helps us stand out is almost every session includes many layers of music, sounds, binaurals, and subliminals.

Nikki: Bob takes care of his own stuff and I do my own work.  I got a kick out of a post one day giving kudo's to my "engineer".  It is just me and my laptop for the most part.  I just started playing around with differant programs, it was just hit and miss and a lot of experimentation.  My older sessions have a lot of irritating glitches that I would love to go back and fix someday.  I am now happy with what I can produce considering what I have to work with.  I would love to one day record in a professional studio; that would be FUN.

HM: Nikki just completed her highly successful “Just Because” series. Are there some new special treats currently in the works or planning stages?

Nikki:  Completed?  Don’t tell RC stage, but we have two more in the wings and who knows what will develop after that.  It is an evolving series.

HM: I stand corrected, and happily so.

I have been working on one of Shiri’s sessions that is turning out to be an interesting project.  It has evolved into a two part session.  The first part “Fall into the Fantasy” is a fifteen minute introduction and 45 minutes of conditioning and trigger reinforcement.  This session is fun as a stand-alone, however its main purpose is to prepare you for part two: “Satin Angels”.   Part one is available for anyone who wishes to listen for free here.It is a subject that some might find over the edge, as it involves the ultimate mind control scenario.  Is it over the edge?  You will have to make your own decision on that after listening to the first part.  If you’re a fan of Strawberry Jam, you will love Satin Angels.

HM: I want a straight answer Bob, has anyone ever actually seen the thong?

Bob: I have been asked by both Governments (Canada and US) to keep this under wrap.  Apparently there is concern that my thong pics could cause an international incident.  Besides Nikki said she would kill me.  I can take on the world but I ain’t even gonna try to take on Nikki!

HM: Thank you both, Bob and Nikki for taking the time to participate in this interview. Any parting words that you would like to add?

Bob: We are thrilled to support you Stage.  We think what you are doing here is wonderful and could  help to build our hypno erotic community even more.  We are happy to help any way we can.

Nikki: Play safe ;)
